In May, we welcomed Barbara Porteous to our Board of Directors. We asked her to tell us about herself.
“It’s been a joy volunteering at the museum during the past year. After working in education since 1993, it’s nice to have time to be part of a team of wonderful museum volunteers that get to share the history of our area with visitors from local residents to travelers from around the world. As a new board member I look forward to being more involved with supporting the work and vision of this amazing museum. Whether hiking in the surrounding wilderness, birding with friends or gardening at home, I feel blessed living here and sharing the beauty of our area with so many people.”
