Movie Screening –
Internationally-acclaimed short film!

This uplifting film (18 min) invites us to consider how the healing of our planet could be possible.

The film makers suggest a shift in our relationship with the Earth to one of respect and reciprocity.

Co-director Michael “Pom” Preston, son of Winnemem Wintu Chief Caleen Sisk, will provide an introduction to the film and answer questions afterwards.

Mt. Shasta Sisson Museum’s annual “Summer Yard Sale” will be held Friday – Saturday, Aug. 5th & Aug. 6th, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year the sale will run for only two days; mark your calendar so you don’t miss it!

Celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the Shasta Alpine Hut on Mount Shasta!

These guided hikes will be led by Sierra Club Foundation education director, Rebeca Franco. The 3.4-mile (round trip) moderate to strenuous hikes begin at 7,000 ft. elevation, among the unique Shasta red fir up to 8,000 ft., with three stops along the way.

These 2 five-hour tours start at 10 a.m. and are open to hikers over age 11. Hikers will take their time getting to the hut while learning about the area, total time of hike is variable and participants can return as needed. All participants must sign up in advance for July 9 or July 16, 2022 hikes, as group sizes are limited to 15.
