Mt. Shasta Sisson Museum is run entirely by volunteers. That makes our organization unique and wonderful. There are many different opportunities for volunteers at the museum. People can do a variety of projects, including fundraisers, yard sales, bulk mailing, help with school field trips, learn how to be a fish hatchery docent, help at the museum store, aid with exhibits, or assist with technology.
If you have an idea on how you could help, contact the Museum’s Executive Director, Jean Nels. Maybe the idea is something that could be completed in a day, a week, or a lifetime. We can fit you into our schedule!
All of us that volunteer know that Mt. Shasta Sisson Museum is an important asset to the community, giving residents and visitors a sense of place, and highlighting the uniqueness and importance of our area.
