Water is an important part of this area’s history.
A new water exhibit will open in 2020.
The Shasta Mineral Springs were discovered in 1886 by Mr. J.J. Scott.
In 1889, Scott formed the Mt. Shasta Mineral Springs Company to market this remarkable water.
There were different kinds of springs.
Some were mineral water with natural carbonation.
Others flowed with pure water that has been called the “best water on Earth.”
